    Couldn't you just promote on Facebook and forget the rest?

    Would it be possible to just market your products or services on Facebook (via groups or pages) and forget about Pinterest or Twitter? What are some of the advantages or disadvantages of focusing all your social marketing efforts on just one site?

    I've always been a firm believer in "never leave your eggs in one basket" as in some cases, sites have a tendency of going down, or you may end up having problems in general, with the one and only place you're advertising... This could lead into major issues if you're depending on only one direction.

    When you advertise through a variety of different areas, it expands your traffic flow, increasing your chance of sales more widely. It provides a safe haven by having different channels. If one channel gets blocked temporarily for whatever reason, traffic still has a way to get to your product or service.

    Some of your ideal product or site users might not be on Facebook much but might prefer Pinterest. You won't want to cut them out by only focusing on Facebook.

    If you're really good at either Facebook or Pinterest marketing, then there is no reason you shouldn't specialize. Defy the norm and do your best at the site where you feel most success.

    It doesn't take anymore time to copy the same content as Facebook onto Google+ post or status update. So you would have both audiences in about the same time.

    Pinterest shows good promise for affiliate marketing and for photo rich blogs and shopping portals. You might try to explore that site if you are just going to focus on one social network.

    I actually find Twitter brings better success for me than Facebook, as I get instant traffic everytime I send out a tweet.

    To ignore sites such as Youtube, just because you like Facebook so much is only asking for trouble. What if you are banned on Facebook, then you will have no back up.

    I have only Facebook for promoting my interests. My Twitteraccount is inactive and I have no other social media account. Even the popular
    Instagram, I don’t have because it doesn’t sound relevant to me. With Facebook,
    I can promote by posting on my timeline or by creating a page specifically for
    that purpose. It is very convenient and most effective if you have a lot of
    active friends.

    I actually promote my products on various social media sites but to be honest I have been more successful on Facebook. Concentrating on different sites can be overwhelming at times. Nowadays I am concentrating on three sites only. The reason why I don't concentrate only on Facebook is that the other sites have equally helped me to grow my customer base. Since this strategy seems to be working for me I will continue doing so. Moreover I am targeting people from different countries and being on different social network is definitely advantageous.
