If you are not willing or able to use Facebook or Pinterest, you might pay for traffic as so much traffic from SEO is not usually possible for new sites. This will not generate any income as the traffic will not really be interested in what you are offering but it will show up on your stats that you got lots of traffic. And, maybe that would be important to your advertisers.
