    I suggest that you submit your sitemap to Google as well as Bing Webmaster tools so all your site pages are indexed.
    For ling building I would say start slow from social networks , social bookmarks, some forum posting. Then after a few weeks
    you can start building links consistently.

    If its a newly created site then do not build links right away and wait for at least 4-5 weeks before you start creating backlinks.
