    What you usually do to improve Alexa?

    I am getting quality traffic to site, but Alexa rank is not improving fast.
    Could you please anyone suggest something? May be some traffic exchanges?
    Put simply, which methods will work well for better Alexa ranking?

    Alexa rank shows rank for 3-month average value, so it's always updating slow. Traffic exchange might do the trick, but Alexa rank only gets a boost when someone with installed Alexa toolbar visits your site. That means: Webmaster geeks like us What you usually do to improve Alexa?

    Work on quality content + promote your website, as mqss said alexa is only for show off, you can also install alexa toolbar in your website for better ranking (but alexa left a dofollow link in that widget).

    From the discussions that I had read about Alexa, the ranking is based on the traffic of the website. So if your website becomes the number 1 in Alexa like what Google is now experiencing, that means your website has the most number of traffic. Of course, being number 1 in Alexa is an impossible dream unless your website is a pretender to the throne of Google, Youtube and Facebook. Those are the top 3 in the internet in terms of traffic.
