As you know, many SEOs are eagerly awaiting a Penguin update but Matt Cutts, the head of search spam at Google, said "you don’t want the next Penguin update." He warned that the Google "engineers have been working hard," on this update.

This could be a very worrisome thing for webmasters who are playing shady with SEO. But for anyone else who is publishing good content and linking back from relevant resources, there should be no fear.

Yes Definitely doing link-building in proper way and getting backlinks in organic is always good and webmaster never need to fear for Google algorithm updates. If you go in perfect way then nobody can harm your website.

This is why I keep using Yahoo. I must admit wish Yahoo Mail was as good as gmail. I been using Yahoo since 1997 and will keep on until they close.

Yes Definitely doing link-building in proper way and getting backlinks in organic is always good and webmaster never need to fear for Google algorithm updates. If you go in perfect way then nobody can harm your website.

Though i've heard some webmasters/bloggers complain of having their pages de-indexed for spammy backlink practices when they didn't remember spamming links. So i'm wondering if they're lying or if someone used negative SEO to damage their site.

Have you checked where that article came from and who wrote it? If that came from Google then I guess there is reason to be alarmed. Pardon me for saying this but just like the olden times when the doomsayer were spreading alarming lies they are still around just being cloaked differently. My advice is to be careful in sharing what you read unless you are sure that it is factual.
