    Assemble a list of reputable edu and .gov sites that allow do follow backlinks and then backlink from those sites to your web2.0 properties which are also linking to your main site. Do this in a natural way so as not to be discovered by Google.

    Do you mean to say that the method will work but there is a risk that Google might penalize your site? I have read in another discussion that Link Wheel is actually setting up a sort of network for your link that it is inter-connected. Sorry if I couldn’t explain well. But if it has a risk with violation then I don’t think it is wise to create a link wheel unless you are well versed with the trick,

    Link wheel involves creating back link to your site by using 5 or more unique web 2.0 sites with high page rank. The hub of the link wheel will be your website page. It is the process by which you build multiple links with websites that belong to your niche through webpages and blogs. The basic idea behind link wheel is to have a group of unique web 2.0 sites with high page rank and all pointing to your site. This will give your site authority and relevancy for the keyword term or phrase which you want to rank high in the SERPs. For example publish the content in each of the websites in a manner that each submission you provide 2 links , one to blogger.com and the other pointing to your targeted website. Similarly the article submitted in blogger.com will have 2 links, one pointing to Quizilla and the other poniting to your website. A few websites used to create a link wheel are mentioned below:

    Link wheels are created by attaching one link to another. And then adding the core link in the article of each. So that can be good enough for making some right set of the backlinks. Not sure how the linkwheels are good enough on that part. I have yet to manage on the link building part. So you have to consider adding more links to the portfolio this way.

    I suggest you to consider checking out if the link wheels are effective. After all these years in changes from the SEO side. I don't think the google is paying much attention to such link wheels anymore. So you may have to adjust with that part as well. That's for sure.
