    How do you find forums for backlinking?

    What's your best technique for finding forums for backlinking? Do you use a specific set of words on Google to find forums which allow signature links?

    Search 'your keywords' + forum and you should come up with a list of forums that allow signature links. Just be sure to make a few sample posts to see if signature line shows up and read the rules on signatures.

    If you are already on a forum, check out other members signature line as it will usually include a link back to their similar niche forum. That could be one way to find additional forums similar to your site for backlinking.

    I type the query in following manner,
    "<keyword/niche> forum"

    I generally do it on google, and mostly I find forums to get backlinks ;)

    Other way is when you are searching in Google, select "discussion" then put the keyword in Google search this way all the results would be from forums..this is really great way of finding forums!

    Put your keyword in Google Search Box and hit enter..

    You would get options

    Web - Images - Maps - Shopping - More - Search Tools

    You would find Discussions option under More.

    Yes always read the rules. Sometimes they only allow signatures after so many posts. Or if they think you are just posting to get a signature link, they may ban your account if your posts are not high quality.

    When it comes to posting your link on forums, you should be choosing a popular forum so the chances of your backlink being read and clicked will be higher. However, it is not easy to post on forums because you need to register and be a part of the community. Some forums don’t allow signatures that contain your backlink if you are a newcomer. That is why most of the backlink building is not done to blogs.
