Bloggers love linking to freebies as it gives them a useful resource without having to write a new post. If you provide free ebooks, whitepapers, downloadable content, free trials, etc, you're likely to get many valuable backlinks.

I love posting about freebies that I find around the internet. It makes a very easy blog post and I don't have to take time to write something new. My readers love it too and have come to rely on me for great free resources.

If you compile a list of freely available webmaster tools and resources, you may get backlinks too as other webmasters will link back to your page for the benefit of their own visitors.

Most of those bloggers blog are spammed to death or those bloggers lost interest in maintaining there blog. :|
