I've been trying to promote my site using forum posting, blog commenting, guest posting, etc. But I've observed that most admins delete my post/comment after few days. What could be the reason for it ? And now it is becoming even more difficult to find dofollow high pr sites

I agree with tommy, that getting backlinks from forums is not easy. I've been banned from many forums for the same reason. Now, I'm concentrating on contributing to forum :)

Well, forum posting would give you three things mainly backlinks, traffic and brand name popularity..
If you are using for link building purposes then please make sure that you are using only relevant forums.

It will still matter. It was not accounted earlier, but after penguin updates google is looking for relevance of backlink from a site. So, you might want to be extra careful.

Google should have been taking the relevance of a site into account way before now. In reality, most bloggers won't backlink to random unrelated sites. So if a person is getting backlinks from random unrelated sites, it's probably happening as a result of spam blog/forum post comments made by the site owner.

I think if you need quality links then you shouldn't go for any easy way. A person who needs good results i.e. high rank, fast index, etc should give a try to guest posting. Write well on a topic and submit it to a quality blog. Do some hard work guys.....
