    PageRank really doesn't mean too much for your site, unless you're offering advertising through your website where you are handling all deals of advertisement. People like to know their links are going on high-PR sites in order to gain some backlink juice. However other than that, it's really just a way to gloat that your site is ranked high in Google.

    If your website is not static then you can upload contents on a regular basis. The more contents you upload, the better for getting a high ranking in the page rank of Google. Good contents is considered the primary element for evaluation of search engines that’s why they say that you cannot go wrong with good contents. And making the content a little bit longer will also be better. By the way, good content means it is unique and not copied from any other website in part of in whole. Uploading a copied content will bring disaster to the page ranking of your website.
