    Yup ! Most of the proxy sites are legal and safe to use. I've been using glypeproxy since 3 years, and never faced any problem. Also, you can try premium proxies, if you are worried about spyware How to use Google as a proxy

    Actually, most 'famous' proxy sites are banned on some networks in schools. That's one reason why there are thousands of new proxies a day, and 90% of them get banned within hours of creation because students get list, and than the network administrator sees that they were on Facebook when they should've been doing school task - I've done this many times in my school days who hasn't? XD

    The proxy sites which you are talking about are freely available. Some proxies are premium proxies, which aren't banned at many places How to use Google as a proxy. You can subscribe to there membership and browse anything from anywhere How to use Google as a proxy
