Don't make your secret recovery questions too easy to guess as a hacker can use the questions to easily access your email without your permission

Use Phone verification - and your password strong, thats all you need. 99% sure they wont crack a password if its good enough, then they would have to confirm w/ your phone, which i hope they dont have ;) LoL if they have your phone and have gained access to your site... well then you deserve to be hacked! LOL

But strong passwords is all you really need but the phone verification method always superceeds security questions - anyone that knows you personally can crack a security question which is why so many ex-girlfriends gain access to your facebook account

hahahaha I just had to deal with that all last week, what A NIGHTMARE!

If you lost your phone then it would be very difficult to get the account so use phone only if you are able to run your phone sim card for ever....

Don't use a common password for Gmail that you have used for other sites. And, verify by phone as suggested.

Unless you meant that - just confused me - you say In terms of Security Google is too strict -- it provides man options to tighten the security as well...

Who is this man? What frame of context are you posing that Google's security is to strict... If anything I would want my e-mail provider to have tip top security in place and make it strict as to not compromise any data leaks / etc. So perhaps you can explain what ya meant by that so I and the rest of us can understand

I hope you dont take this in a negative way - I am genuinely intrigued by what you said and looking forward to what you have to say & broaden our discussion here

Yeah, Google is very strict with security protocols. They have lots of security options. For instance, by default, Gmail lets you sign in with HTTPS, which is a secure server.

That's just one more way Google keeps your Gmail safe.
