    What are the importance of nofollow links?

    Nodollow links are not very important but they look natural. A natural website will have many various links of nofollow and dofollow. This keeps google from detecting that you are buying links.

    I guess I have read about the no-follow link is one way of hiding a backlink that should not be detected by the search engine crawlers. From what I understand a backlink gets traffic to the site in 2 ways – one from the reader of the web page where the backlink was posted and another is from the search list with your site’s link that was boosted in ranking by the backlinks. But if the backlink is a no-follow then it wouldn’t boost the ranking.

    The no follow link is not be searched by Google search engine. The will leave it and search only do follow . By search engine don't search it means only Google don't search but other search engine will search this.

    Unless you have couple of thousands of backlinks, you have nothing to worry about.

    I don't think so. A nofollow link still can show up on search engines in some cases.
    Google still follow them, but not send link juice or index it.

    So long as Google sees and counts the backlink that is probably all that matters for SEO purposes.

    Google sees all the links whether nofollow or dofollow, if it looks natural to Google then there is no harm.
