I know if google penguin effects your site then you will not be ranked well in google. But does that effect pr as well ?

I know that some website owners are worrying about the Google updates particularly the Panda and Penguin. If you are not doing anything illegal on the SEO of your site then I don’t think there is reason for you to be concerned because the Google updates are mainly for the changes in algorithm and not to penalize the sites. If your Page Rank is affected then be it known that page rank is not being used by Google anymore.
