Mixing link and banner Adsense

Does Google Adsense offer the option of a mixed link and banner ad, such as where the links appear above or below a small side column banner? Right now, I'm simply using two ad units but would rather not use up my allotment of Adsense ads making this configuration.

You will have to customize your own ad units by mixing them to fit your site's content and needs. In a way, this is better than having a banner/link combo in how you can customize the background of your link units to match your site and then sparingly place smaller vertical banners in between two link units on side bar.
