Yahoo Answers traffic

I've been reading a lot of people are using Yahoo Answers for free traffic. Basically, you reply to a topic related to your niche and put your link as the source. It ranks fairly easy because of the YA authority and then you get free traffic from it.

Supposedly, this works even better if you get selected as the best answer.

Additionally, if you target highly search keywords you can get them ranked fairly easy with some links and social media.

This is all speculation on my part, I've never used Yahoo Answers for traffic yet. My question is, does it work? Does anyone here use YA for traffic?

Ya it works. You're not going to make very much money off it unless the keywords rank though.

A better version is to have multiple accounts. Ask and answer your own question (use proxies).

And, how many accounts would respond to the question? I'm guessing they would also vote one account's answers as best.

I have read of discussions saying Yahoo Answers is one source of high quality backlinks. However, we have to admit that it’s not easy for your answer to be chosen because aside from the difficult question, there are also a myriad of answers. But once you get an answer that was chosen then it will be a source of good traffic for your sit. Maybe some of us here are trying to post in Yahoo Answers just for the sake of trying.
