    Some things you should do before taking vacation (for the freelancer)

    Before taking vacation you should think as to how it will affect your regular buyers. Do you have any subscriptions that need to be fufilled while you are gone? If so, will you have access to your iPhone or other wifi device to check on incoming orders?

    Before leaving on vacation, finish up all open SEOClerks orders and temporarily suspend your services until you get back.

    To avoid misunderstanding with potential buyers, create a status update on your SEOClerks profile (and even your forum profile) that explains you are on vacation and will resume working on new orders when you return.

    Once you return, post a status update, letting your buyers know that you have return, be sure this is emailed to all your followers so they know you are back in business.

    Please suggest another tip for the freelancer or SEOClerks seller who is planning to go on vacation.

    Try to schedule a vacation for a time of the year when you are not usually busy. For some freelancers this might be at Christmas and for others this could be during summer time. Pick a time that works best for you and this would differ for each person.

    I always send any orders that I have a message stating I will be gone and will finish up when I get back and assure them that it will be on time.

    I always send any orders that I have a message stating I will be gone and will finish up when I get back and assure them that it will be on time.

    This is a smart idea as it ensures your customers won't become confused or upset as to why you are not currently working on a specific project. Open communication with the buyer is the best way to gain repeat business and a loyal customer.

    Vacationing is the same in the office or in freelancing, finish all your pending work and inform all those concerned about your vacation if you cannot attend to your freelancing chores. You may lose the trust of your clients when they are surprised that you are not around and you didn't give notice. That will ruin your impression of dependability.

    You can inform your regular buyers before hand of your plans of vacationing by posting it in for the new buyers to see or simply messaging your old buyers.
