    Not really. Hardly ever. It doesn't seem an important factor to me. Though some people really like Alexa ranking. And, maybe for them it would be important, like for getting advertisers.

    I don't check Alexa rank because I don't need it.

    I use StatCounter so I get traffic info from there!

    Alexa ranking is based on traffic. Alexa rank tells how much traffic your site is pulling. If you have better traffic, your rank will be higher. Your website value can be calculated based on your alexa ranking. However, alexa rank can be faked by buying traffic from traffic exchange sites or by using bots.

    Alexa ranking is mainly based on the traffic that your website gets. The more traffic your website gets, the higher the Alexa ranking. It is not really that important but the ranking can serve as an inspiration to you so that as a website owner you will have the motivation to work on the SEO methods that you know in order to increase the Alexa ranking of your website. By the way, the higher ranking in Alexa of your website means you are earning more if your site is monetized.
