Your daily goal for new discussions?

Do you have a dally goal for how many new discussions you will post on your own forum? For instance, maybe you will post five new discussions.

I think that when you set a daily goal and follow through with it, it will make your forum better. It is a great idea to have a goal.

Recently I started a new forum and have set a goal to create at least ten new discussions on my forum daily, both as my main username and as an alternate username. This keeps things interesting and lively even when my forum members are not active.

This was the topic in a meeting of shareholders of one local forum that I had attended. All the 20 shareholders agreed to do their share in making new posts of at least 2 new threads every day. During that time, the peak hours of their forum was in the late afternoon where there are more than 100 members online and about 80 are active on the boards. For me, that 2 new threads a day is just fine since there were 20 of them. Besides, the other members were also posting new threads so they can stick to moderation creation of new threads.
