Should you get a hyphenated Domain name?

There are many advantages and disadvantages to choosing a hyphenated domain name that you should know about.

It is much easier to remember a hypenated name than one that has no hyphens. And, you will be smart to add hyphens if only for clarity sake to help your users read your name easier and remember what it's about.

Google search will be able to more easily read the words and index your site domain name for each word if it is separated by hyphens.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using hyphens in a domain name.

Hyphenated domain name is not better than without hyphenated domain name, because if somebody is typing keyword or domain name then definitely it will be without hyphenated. So this is more appropriate for search result purpose.

Hi superpower Yes I agree with your concern and yes I also agree with you hyphenated domain name not better than without hyphenated domain. But there has some advantages and disadvantages. Mainly it is depend on your brand name or availability. And without hyphenated domain name easy to write on browser or search engine but on the other hand hyphenated domain easy to indexing on search engine and it is working as key
Beside it is depend on availability of domain name will you choose hyphenated or not? For example, you try to use domain name like microcar.com as your brand name but you see this domain already registered and but you can try for micro-car.com as domain name. Here your brand name still exist without massive change.

If you decide to include a hyphen in the domain name, it is probably because the brand name includes a hyphen, or because it is too long and you may think that most people will find a hyphen helpful as it enables them to see distinct words or keywords. However more often than not, this turns out to be a negative element in a domain name because it is going to confuse people a bit. Some may forget all about it, thus typing the domain name incorrectly. It is also common for people to use mobile devices when they try to access the site, and it is not straightforward on all devices to insert a hyphen. So all in all I think I would rather not include a hyphen.
