    I have never got that problem my self , but i have heard if you get sandboxed , you will be back on google after 1 year not sure if its right.

    First check Google Webmaster Tools and check for messages that may point to a quality issue and then fix it. Unfortunately, no ETA for Google to review and reinstate your website in search engine results.so if your site not enough good. just move your content to other site and make sure don't build low quality backlinks or dont aggressive to build backlinks.

    In one discussion it was suggested that you continue posting regularly of new contents but write it good so that your site will not be penalized again. Good contents are well written and directly relevant to the niche of your site much more that they are unique and not copied in part or in its entirety from another source. I guess that makes sense because a new content is one indicator for inviting the search engine crawler.
