    Question regarding Expired domains : why Domain Expires ?

    Hi i am not that new to the SEO but want to know some experts view on Expired Domains? What is Expired Domains? Why Do Domains Expires ? and if My domain is expired, i will have no rights to it ? Please experts opinion is expected. I am sure many Newbie will be benefited with this question..

    Hi Vivadh,

    Like most things in life domains cost and typically on a year basis. If you do not pay this they're not going to allow you to simply keep it. It will expire and then shortly afterwards be actually deleted. Between the time of expiring and being deleted you and only you will be able to renew it but once deleted it will be up for anyone to get just like before you ever owned it.

    If your domain is expired, that you have forgotten to pay your hoster ;) If you just pay every month, will your domain not expire ;)
    There is a list on internet, were you can find expired domains with pagerank ;) so if you need a domain with pr, just look at that site ;)

    If you can buy a domain name for life time then your domain can not get expired. Actually someone domain will expire for without renewing. If you can renew your domain in time your domain can not be expired. Thanks

    Domain names are maintained by root DNS servers which cost to operate.
    So, to run those (and obviously some profit) a fee is taken over every domain you purchase.

    No one can get a free domain or simply a domain for life.
