    Exchange websites work but if you don't want to use one of those just simply following people on Instagram works. I have tried this in the past and Between 50% and 75% of the time I receive a follow back. You can do this by going to other accounts and following everyone on their following list.

    Whenever I would encounter such questions on increased followers or friends, my usual advice is to promote your cause. And how do you promote yourself to gain followers? When I get a friend request, my first impulse is to check the name. If the profile name doesn’t seem to be a real name, I ignore it. In other words, I only entertain real people. So that’s a tip already. Next is the profile that I check if the account is active. And if the posts are interesting then I accept otherwise, just ignore.
