    If you mean you want to be sure that the SEO service provider will be doing a white hat method on your site then you have to specify what kind of work the provider can do. Ask him for the list of tasks and then you select the tasks that you want like adding the proper keywords and doing the backlink building by posting on the specified types of sites that you want. Most SEO service providers know a lot of methods so it is good for you to be specific with that.
