    Can i do SEO for an Youtube video same as a website?

    My question is
    can i use the same procedure for doing SEO for you tube video which i use for website?
    Can i create backlinks using blog comments,forum posts...
    can i use social bookmarking also?
    does sharing on social sites like face book and twitter help in ranking my video?

    Yes social bookmarking and sharing your video bring good traffic to your video which is required for ranking video on YouTube.

    Yes you can also do SEO for your video by adding targeted keywords in description and title.

    Indeed, you can definitely do SEO for a youtube video as well. In most cases its very similar. Try manual and software SEO to boost your link, especially blog and forum posts are very beneficial to promote most of your content. And social bookmarking is another great thing to add while promoting your youtube video. Do a research and try to focus on gathering targeted audience and build a good plan to distribute your link to popular places on the internet.

    yes youtube could be optimized in the same manner as a web/blog, you could optimize the content, tittle, tag, giving it backlinks from other blog or other video or you could simply share it on social media.

    If you are going to promote your Youtube video in social media or in any other site then that is called social signal which is equivalent to backlinks. Aside from the keywords that you have tagged your video, you can also do relentless promotion in other sites. Maybe 5 posts a day will be good enough to scatter the backlinks of your video. And if you are able to post the promotional spiel in popular sites then that will really help your video in getting more views.
