What are good ways to market your site?

Other than Facebook, twitter and social media, what other ways can I market my site? I find this to be the most difficult in websites as you are in competition with everyone else. I am open to all suggestions.

Yahoo Answers is very effective! Especially if you get to Level 2, cause then they'll allow you to post your link along with you answers. But be careful not to spam though. They are really strict about that.

I'm surprised your question did not get more answers because tbf it's a good question and one that many people want to know about. Of course, there are many many ways to market and promote your site online today. More than there used to be in fact.

The first and most obvious way is by doing SEO on your website. Yes there is competition, but if you work hard and stick to your goals there is no reason why you can't share the top spots in Google's SERP's with the other top sites! It's not guaranteed, but it's not impossible too.

And when it comes to SEO'ng your site, you don't need to travel far as you are already on the worlds #1 SEO marketplace here already. There are many affordable and reasonably priced SEO services here you can buy to improve the ranking of your site with. You can even outsource the content for it as well as other things too all here. Plus don't forget social media, you can find many SMM services here that you can use to your advantage to help market and promote your site that markets and promotes SEOClerks services or whatever it is your site is about and sells/offers.

Just check through the marketplace and look at the top gigs for each category to find some good gems. Of course these will require some financial outlay by you to actually get them so there are other options to promote and market your site for free as well. This can firstly be from doing your own social media marketing, growing your social profiles with followers etc. And then building links yourself too. You can find many free link building methods out there today just Google free link building methods or do a search on SEOClerks forums and the FAQ here for them.

Social media is the best but if you are asking for another way, what I can think of is to promote your site in forums. There are forums that are accommodating when it comes to promotion of sites. One is www.forumpromotion.net which is for that purpose. Another site is forumcoin.com which, I think, also welcomes posts to promote your site. I know that there are other similar site that maybe you can search for them.

Marketing one's site entails two ways which could be free or paid ways.One can promote through posting links to all the top social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or use paid ads of each social media like Facebook ads, Twitter ads, Instagram ads etc.

Another way is to promote on forums and blogs, one could attach the links to its signature.Reddit is another site that a blog can be marketed.
