    yes the person saying because its personalized to you is spot on. basically google is a giant ad machine and they target you just like everything else so they can sell your info to advertisers. thats a harsh way of putting it but its also a harsh reality. So, when you search you are getting targeted results.

    To be frank, I am also wondering why sometimes my search yields non-relevant links on the page 1 of the search list but the relevant items appear on page 2. Maybe that is one mystery of the search engines that their algorithms have a randomizing factor so that not everything will be static. With the different result that you got versus your wife’s search, perhaps the login has something to do with it especially if you have used Chrome as the browser.
