    My take on getting more visitors to the site is to promote your website in social media. However, it depends on the type of your site on how to approach the audience. You have to study the marketing techniques used for blogs which is different when you are promoting an e-commerce website and also different when marketing a forum. Being creative in social media pays because a simple post or tweet about your website will not get a positive reaction unless the post is engaging or interesting to the people in your network.
