    Stumbleupon is like any other platform or social media that one can socialize with friends,family or users that have signed up to the platform.just like sharing to other social media.links from one's site can also be stumbled to StumbleUpon and users there can follow the links to one's site which helps in generating traffic and maybe clicks if the site is monetized.

    I think there is a small room for socializing on stumbleupon. You can, of course, follow the user, send messages, however, there is a limitation with socializing. However, it provides a great platform for content discovery and content promotion.
