There is a vast difference between writing an SEO article and writing a normal article.
An SEO article requires couple of things, for instance
Doing keyword research and finding proper keywords.
using keywords in the title and sub title, if possible using long tail search term as the title and sub title.
Using keywords and keyphrade in the body.
For a normal writing, you do not have to think about keywords, all you have to do is write interesting content.

I think there's a slight difference in just the style not necessarily the English or words because one would still need to use the English language. To write an SEO is just to use the keywords for that niche on the topics and on the body of the article,so that it will rank better on search engine, so that anyone searching for that keyword, your site would be among the search result,so it not about the English but more about the keyword for that niche.
