    Forum posting would help your website if you have a forum linked to your website as a place for people to go and find out information on what you have to offer. If you do have a forum. People who offer forum posting can help your forum by giving you good quality posts to keep your forum active and busy with fresh content which will keep visitors coming back if they like what they see.

    There are numerous post exchange sites. These sites have to purpose, one, if you are a forum owner, they offer contents for your forums; two, if you are a writer, they offer incentives to you if you post on the forums. Writers earn money and forum owners get contents and traffic.
    If you list your website on post exchange sites, you can get quality comments and traffic. One comment bring one unique visit. Since the visitor will write a comment, he will stay longer thus decreasing your bounce rate.

    It is not clear by what you mean with forum posting and I am assuming that you are asking about posting in forums of the link of your website. First, you need to be an established member of a forum community otherwise you cannot post your link on the boards for you will be tagged as spamming. And even if you have an established account, you need to be discerning in posting a promotional comment or thread because most forum admins are wary of links. But if ever you are successful in posting your website’s link and it looks interesting to the community, for sure there will be traffic to your website coming from that forum.

    There is a way that I've seen many webmasters do this and that is by having a forum and a main site linked together. In the sense that when you visit a forum, you will see an option that links you to the main site and we all know that most of the quality contents are written on the main site. So, what the forum owners always do is to get a blog linked together to the forum that attracts their forum members to pay a visit to the blog.
