    yeah, backlinks still work but it must from authority sites

    Yeah, backlink still works. Get some from good authority sites.
    Don't go for automated 10000 spam backlinks.
    Instead go for few high quality links from sites with good domain authority and page authority.

    Backlinks definitely work and will remain working because aside from being an SEO method that is related to the search engines, the backlink is somehow independent because of its nature. When you post your website’s link on a blog comment, that backlink will remain until the owner would remove it which happens only in rare cases. Usually the backlink remains forever. Even when the blog is old, there is a possibility that someone will read it and see your comment with your backlink.

    This thread is from 2013 and that's 5 years ago. It's now 2018 and back links are still working today. Although you have to pick quality sites and said links should be done and posted correctly so that it wouldn't be considered as spammy. Bad back links are counter productive and can eventually hurt your rankings and your site.

    Yea .backlinks is very important is any website page rank and visiter the google update his page backlinks and page update every 3 moths.

    Yes, I doubt back links will ever go away in the SEO ranking. It's one of the most important things to SEO in my opinion.
