No, it's a design which is formated properly, in terms of HTML and uses the HTML5 tags, like the <header> , <nav>, <footer>

Being friendly to search engines means you are following the rules of the SEO which is the practical design and layout of your website. I think the color and fonts are also concerned because they are also part of the evaluation. Navigation is not very complicated that you can easily go to a particular web page by clicking just one icon or perhaps a maximum of 2 clicks. I’m sure the web designers now are aware of those standards regarding SEO compatibility of the website’s design.
