    SEO is everything. It is probably the most important aspect of promoting your website. There are a tremendous amount of techniques involved but one of the most important is keyword research, analysis and implementation.

    Basically, SEO is the process of letting search engines like Google know what your site is about and how popular/in-demand your content is. The more popular or in-demand you are for a specific keyword, the higher you will show up in the search results which in turn means more traffic for your site. Needless to say it's a vicious circle.

    Search engine optimization is important.  But more important is optimizing your blog or website for the actual human visitor who will be reading and enjoying the site.  Google and other search engines are leaning more toward sites that cater to the visitor than search engine traffic.  They are rewarding sites that have higher quality content rich pages rather than ones with massive spammy backlinks.
