    Is the bounce rate still a valid way to check site activity?

    I have a bouce rate of about 50% - my blog is still new though, and I don't really have multiple pages...Is the bounce rate still a valid way to check site activity?

    Would users going from one post to another reduce bounce rate?

    Yes if you have alot of readers going from one post to another,the bounce rate will reduce.And it is still a good way to check site activity.

    I don't care that much about bounce rate since it doesn't tell you anything worth about your blog, but just for activity I would say it's good to check it sometimes.

    I'm in the same boat here I honestly do not care about it and from what I see these days it's pretty much never mentioned in any instance so I wouldn't worry yourself on it.

    Sure if it gets nice and lows and things are going well in that area then be happy for yourself but if gets a lot higher I wouldn't worry about it at all, if may just be a a lot of traffic hitting you that isn't really the audience you're aiming for which can obviously happen at times.

    Just keep up with interesting and high quality content if you're still worried about it. Those are pretty much the only things you can when it comes to blog and bounce rate.

    From what I understand about bounce rate it is the time period that was spent by a reader on a particular web page. When the bounce rate is high that is an indication that the reader is jumping from web page to web page. Perhaps you need to post more substantial content that is interesting because when the blog is interesting the reader will stay longer maybe for more than a minute or even longer.
