    Hi, the key is to vary your linkbuilding campaign targeting quality niche related links. if you have a new website, avoid targeting too many high PR links at first as it looks unnatural. Make sure that you vary the anchor text as much as possible and use phrases that other sites would likely use when linking to you (use click here, visit here and naked url etc). Do not use your main keyword more than 20%.

    Also, do not build too many links at once and if you do purchase a link package, make sure the links can be drip fed.

    It is also important to make sure that your on-page SEO is all correct.

    choose low competition keywords and use paid linking on High PR, but much focus on One Way Linking.
    and don't focus only on do-follow links, because always do-follow backlinks get your site penalize. therefore make both do-follow and no-follow backlinks.

    contents optimized with keywords
    good site design
    good loading speed
    quality backlinks
    social signals.
    Getting on the first page of Google or other search engines is a culmination of various strategies. You cannot rank your website #1 just by doing one thing.
