I am assuming that local search means the searchers within your country. If your website is clearly identified with your country then you can get a higher ranking when there is a local search. That’s why products that are identified with a particular place have a higher batting average. For example, a native cardigan made in Baguio City with the name Baguio Cardigan, it will be on the upper part of the local search list for Cardigan in the Philippines because of the place where it originates.
