Reddit is an ok source of traffic. Though usually it's from people who are indignant at your post and just clicking through to disprove your point. Post a controversial opinion or idea on Reddit under a hot category and it will usually result in visitors

If you have 1000 angry Redditors clicking through and viewing your post, that's still traffic. It should also monetize if you have Adsense on your site.

Thank you for letting me know that Reddit is the ok source of traffic and I must choose to write or type that matches with the other controversial discussion which is just on the Reddit platform by posing & discussing hot controversial trending statements so that Reddit users get attracted to read thus convert to clicks and more visitors.

There are ways to entice audiene engagement without relying on their innate nature of wanting to argue. I find it surprising but it is easy to get traffic by sharing an opinion that people agree with, given that that is an unpopular opinion. This is why react videos and bandwagons are effective ways to gain traffic. Personally, I don't really enjoy watching react videos. I think they're cringy. But, I do admit that it's kind of amusing to see someone react the same way I do. It gets old but there's still fun in it.
