How to make $1,000,000 per year with your blog

It seems like everyone is trying to make money online today and a lot of them are getting into affiliate marketing but there are some that start off with blogging for profits. I'm not knocking affiliate marketing, mainly because I have some passive streams through it, but blogging for profits seems to bring in much more income in the long run if it's done right.

Making money through your blog isn't difficult if you have the traffic, but that's a problem because not everyone knows how to do that. You have to generate massive amounts of content, optimize it along the way, do off page optimization, and various other things to pull in traffic. Getting the traffic is the more difficult part, but if you're not set upright, you'll lose a lot of money along the way.

In this discussion, I'll talk about how your blog could make you a millionaire

Craft Creative Content
You can't start a blog and put 2,500+ word posts on it that covers the most basic things within your niche. You will need to get creative and write about the little things or things that not many people are discussing. Over time you will rank for long-tailed AND shorter keywords which will bring in the traffic you need to be successful online.

Don't Monetize it (hear me out!)
Whenever there's a blog that is somewhat successful it's due to the fact they monetized and are making some revenue now. If you were to hold off on the monetization, focused on building your blog so it was the best in your niche, then you would notice people coming to you with their wallets wide open.

Later on, you can sell a service, put up some affiliate links, or even sell the entire blog for a decent profit. It's really up to you but I encourage you to hold off on monetizing with Adsense until you go through this entire discussion and read the bottom two points.

Partner Up!
Partnering with another big company in your industry could bring in a lot of new readers. It's easier to pitch a partnership if you're not profiting from Adsense or other ads on the page. You could say "I'll put your ad on our page if you were to mention us in all your emails and put our banner on your pages as well" and you'd be surprised how many companies would go for this.

I actually have a blog, which will remain nameless, that does this and I now have a "Partners" page where I list big websites willing to share my banners for free. I get the traffic, they get a partner link on my site, and everyone is happy lol.

Bring on Some Sponsors
This is where the big money starts to come in because you can get big corporations to sponsor your entire website which means they take over all the ad spots you have on each page. Think of this as a company paying you a truckload of money to get them leads, sales, and traffic. You will be able to tie them into a contract, sometimes for years, and they will pay you a monthly fee or annually depending on what you pitch them.

This is the main way you can make millions with your blog, but it has to pull in a ton of traffic before you ever get sponsorships, so if you thought this was an easy way to become a millionaire then you're probably crying right now.

Final Thoughts
Making money while blogging isn't unheard of but making enough to call yourself a millionaire will put you in the 0.01% of digital marketers who are actually hitting those high numbers. I know this method works, I use it myself, and I have a few potential sponsors on the line. My only problem is that I'm in a relatively small niche and I won't hit anywhere near the million dollars I talked about with one website, but I can if I rinse and repeat the process while targeting other niches

I would suggest setting up a cheap hosting account somewhere and using a premium WordPress theme so you look professional from day 1.

Using Blogspot is a good start but in the long run, it's not going to make you rich. People will judge you immediately after landing on your page and think "This isn't even a full-fledge blog" and that's sad because you could have a ton of valuable content on there

How to make $1,000,000 per year with your blog

I would look through ThemeForest.net to see if they have anything that would look great for what you want to do with your blog. If you're looking to write a lot of content about a specific niche, I would suggest checking out the News related themes because they're designed in a way to showcase a lot of content right away to people browsing around your pages. I also like the theme from GretaThemes.com (This One) because the design is great for a lot of different niches. They have a single theme price, an annual price for all their themes, and a lifetime price for all their themes and support forever which is cheaper than most companies out there. You can also look into the Divi there HERE and build your own WordPress website/blog from scratch and sell your themes later on if you wanted

As for hosting, you can never go wrong with a basic package from Namecheap for $2.88 a month lol

Their basic shared hosting is all you would need starting off and you could increase your hosting package easily if needed. Their uptime and customer service has always been great in my opinion, which is why I usually recommend them

You can also check out WPMUDEV.org for your WordPress hosting needs, but they're a little more expensive.

Get a good logo designed by Sajeewa here and use it wherever you can on your website/blog

I've ordered from him plenty of times and love the work he does. I just checked his Logo Design service page and he's had 1,003 positive reviews with only 3 negative ones lol

After you get all that set up and running smoothly be sure to hammer out a lot of content so you can rank in the search engines later on. You'll have a new website/blog so don't expect the traffic to come flooding in right away, it will take time to boost your rankings, but at least your SEO efforts will be for your own website and not for Blogspot

If you ever have a question be sure to post it in the discussions area and I will try to help you out as much as I can

You can always purchase a hosting plan through NameCheap, upload WordPress for free, and use a Free WordPress theme until you have enough money to purchase a premium theme and upload it. Uploading a new theme after you publish a bunch of content won't matter much, all your content will still be there, but you'll probably have to work within the dashboard to be sure it shows up in specific areas of your pages

Doing this will allow you to get a blog up and running, get some content on it, and make it look super professional later on down the road when you save up enough for a premium theme from ThemeForest

You can also find some people here offering Newspaper themes that might be more affordable
