Traffic exchange programs increase visitors on your site, which may result in increasing alexa ranking. as far as SEO is concern i think its more related to your Content and quality of traffic that you are getting from a quality source.

never use a traffic exchange site or ptc site to drive traffic to your website. Your advertizers, Google Adsense for instance, does not like paid traffic. You may be even pennalized.
Secondly, paid traffic is just a number, there is no conversion, thus no sales or leads.

I am confused with the traffic exchange. I thought it is a website where you can post your link so you can get traffic. But based on some comments above, it is a paid traffic. I wouldn’t patronize paid traffic because I had read in many discussions the risk of having it that your website may be penalized by Google for using such. Besides, I think paid traffic is just the product of bots and it is not legal at all.
