When you think you have the next big idea for a specific industry or niche, you may not think of the business name and how it could essentially make or break you before you start out. Knowing what you want to name your next website or business may not seem like a big deal, but it's actually going to be the first big decision you make other than what the actual business is all about.
Your business and domain name needs to be unique, easy to remember, niche specific, as well as short and sweet. Another thing you need to remember is you should always look up your business name in a domain registrar before incorporating. The same goes for incorporating your business before you purchase a domain name. You need to be sure they're both available so you don't have any confusion when it comes to a bank statement that shows what your customers have been ordering. If they check their accounts often, and they see a random company on their transactions list, they might not remember they purchased from you on a website that isn't even close to your business name and they will file a chargeback. People will usually remember what they purchased based on the amount they spent, but not always, and this could cause a lot of problems that could have just been avoided if you named your website and business the exact same thing.
You need to be unique
If you are just piggybacking off of another company and using a name similar to theirs, you're just going to cause confusion later on down the road, and this means people just see you as a copycat. If you have a credible business you should always have something unique when naming it.
You don't have to get crazy when naming your business, just make sure it's unique and easy for people to remember, and you will be happy you did later on when you're more successful 
You need to know what the danger zones are
One thing you need to avoid is long domain names or business names because people just won't remember who you are. On the other hand, your name shouldn't be too short because it likely won't fit your niche or industry. Having a short domain and business name is nice, but it needs to match what you're doing if you really want to be profitable.

Think of your company overall and not just one product or service
Never name your website or business after your main product or service because you never know how much you will evolve later on. I've done this a few times in the past with little pop-up websites, then they get more successful than I imagined, and I'm not stuck with a domain that is specific to one service I sell. I can always use a redirect to a new domain, one that isn't branded to a specific service, but that loses credibility since people clicked and expected to see my first website, not the one they landed on.
So, think of a business and website name that is flexible within the niche you're in and you don't have to redirect traffic because it's too specific.
Understand that you don't have to explain your entire business with your name
Too many people try to explain everything about their website with just their domain name. Use your titles and descriptions to do this, not your domain and business name, and you will easily be able to brand your name later on so people already know what and who you are.
There are many things you can use to explain your business, such as blog posts, so don't worry too much about explaining everything within the name itself and you will see people still coming to you for a service or product

Your business and domain name is a crucial step when you're starting up because it's the name people are going to remember after they leave. If the name is too long, you won't really look professional, but if it's too short it might look odd. You need to find that sweet spot where it's just the right length, is easily remembered, is niche specific, and brandable at the same time. If you can do those things, you have a great business and domain name on your hands
