    i don't think they can generate Huge Traffic. but still they are usefull for SEO of your site and can help in increasing Page Rank of your website

    Social bookmarking used to be really effective for seo which in turn brought good traffic. Google dont seem to put as much value on social bookmarking nowadays but it is still something that can add weight to other links and create link diversity.

    I cannot exactly say whether bookmarking sites still are helpful in traffic generation in 2017. A way back in 2014, I used to use a lot of bookmarking sites. I was every where, Digg, Reddit, Pinterest, stumbleupon, you name it. However, working through these sites was too demanding. I had to build followers, share my contents, engage on my contents as well as my followers' contents. The result was not worth my time spent on these sites. I stopped using these sites and more focused on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. My time spent on these social media gives good result.

    I have read in some discussions that bookmarking sites are still being used by the search engines for checking the links of the websites involved in the searches. However, there is one discussion that says bookmarking sites are not being used anymore by Google. I really cannot comment on the veracity of that but you know a forum, people have the freedom for their opinion and it doesn’t mean accuracy is maintained in our opinion.
