Search and Crush your Competition

Search and Crush your Competition

Now the title may be a bit strong "search and Crush your competition" you may think it sounds harsh. But saying that if the shoe was on the other foot do you think your competition wouldn't be thinking or doing the same thing. It is like a race in google you see them in front and they see you behind. Soon as they see you creeping up they are going to accelerate even faster to keep the lead. Your competition is not stupid they are doing their research, so every time you are checking the SERPs for your keyword positioning and you think you're gaining on them they are always one step ahead and stay ahead of the lead.

Outrank your Competition and Overtake them on Google?

So let us dive right in and overtake your competition on the Google Search engine. Have we mentioned before in previous discussions Content is the "key", the more content on a regular basis the better. Even if you have to write a fresh new article every single day. This is what Google adores, CONTENT, so keep it fresh and long, now I wonder if your competitors write long content. Search your keyword in Google now, the keyword you are trying to rank for. If you are on the first page or second-page find the result before your result on Google and view there website, or even check the first result.

Take a look at there website do they write lengthy content, better still copy there link and then search Social signals checker. When the results come in click the Blackhat social signals checker and then put your competitors link in the box and click search. This will tell you how many social signals they have on there website make a note of them, it does not always matter how many signals you have but it is a start. As you will get to see what they are doing, also place there links in Semrush and see how much traffic they are getting. You can also see which keywords they are ranking for to even how many backlinks they have. Whatever they are doing you try to do twice as much, I know it is more work for you but at least you gaining on them in the search results.

Better still why not Zoom right past them, why not see what they are writing about in your niche. How is this going to help me boost past them? Well, simple all you do now is look for a popular topic they have written say they have one called "10 strategies to increase website traffic" all you need to do now is write one better "20 ways to increase traffic to your website fast". So you get the idea, always be one step ahead, be more effective with the words you use and the amount of content you write. Remember to always check your competition, I am not saying obsess about it just always be one step ahead of them because like I said they will be doing the same thing what you are doing.

Are They Using An Infographic

Do your research on your competitor's website, are they even using an infographic. If they aren't why don't you create one for your website, make a stunning infographic and place it on your website. Also, place an embedded code at the bottom of it and ask your visitors or give them permission to use it. The more people use it, the more backlinks, the more traffic and the more likely it will boost your rankings. Here is a short video with the successful Neil Patel which will help you as he also mentions ways to building backlinks and using Infographics on your site to succeed.

Take note of these tips, please comment below if there is anything you want me to mention in the next discussion. I want to help everyone succeed in there goals and achieving the success of climbing Googles search results and overtaking your competition.

I like that line where you said the site will benefit from the search engine for a lifetime. However I don’t think there is a longer duration for the site to remain in good ranking that you have to work again after 3 months because the competitors will be gaining on you. SEO work is a continuing process that when you blink you tend to lose your position from the surging competitors.

Thanks for the message and reply. Yes. In case of personal website this is a continuous process.Yes. Regular monitoring of the competitors website is also a regular procedures of white hat SEO program. To identify the competitor website- to identify the competitor website keywords and to analyse the keywords of the targeted website is also necessary.

Thanks

Really wonderful article. I like how the neil patel focuses on some of the basics often ignored. I follow his youtube videos. And also some of the time check his website too. I think he has some really good tips mentioned in the SEO and the branding. I'd say on that note it'd be interesting to learn on authority and branding side of his content. Once again you have summed up some really good points here.

Nice write up, it's going to be very useful for anyone looking to take over his or her competitors when it comes to business. If you leave your competitors a breathing room, they are definitely going to scheme to knock you off your perch, so therefore it's more appropriate to knock them down and out first.

I do agree that you should always be one step ahead of the competition a great tool that can help you a lot would be Sun Tzu - The Art of War for Small Business.

This deals with Sun Tzu tactics in war which is applied to business management and how to effectively beat your competitors.

Getting note of what your rivals are doing in the business world and getting ahead of them is the best way to keep everything going and that is quite good as long as I am concerned. I mean that understanding the reason they react in a certain manner will assist one in doing all the good work to get ahead of them.

Excellent point my friend. If you fail to have your opponents or rival or competition unchecked, they are definitely going to make you pay dearly for that error. So therefore, it's always important to be on the front foot when it comes to battle with your competitors.

Definitely, you always have to be aware of what your competitors are doing so that you don't get left behind and you can always do these better than them. in the same way, you can find out what else your competitors are not doing and be the one to start something new before the others even pick it up, so be aware of current events that can change the course of the current situation in your industry.

Those are two wide lines that we should always have in mind as long as we are looking at the best way that we can get to become better in the industry that we are looking at making things work out. I have been in that type of situation where I took advantage of what my competitors are not doing and improved on them in the long-run.

Infographics are something that really draws my attention to a website - when they’re well done it helps put my trust in a company or organization. At the end of the day knowing what your competitors are doing - and doing your stuff better - is the way you get clients!

It's just like spying on your competitors and getting all the necessary information about their strategy and taking it to work against them. If you leave your competitors unchecked, they will always turn out to surprise you which wouldn't be of any good impact on your business.

Yes! I think it's incredibly beneficial to know what your competitors are up to - whether it's good stuff or bad stuff. For the good stuff, you can try and tailor what you're doing to mirror those things, and if it's bad stuff you can ensure that you're not doing what they are!

I think infographics are good for pinterest too. Lot of people look for them over there. And learn plenty of things using that. I have not seen the people making use of the infographics for official website though. Most of them use outside the site to bring traffic. It's kind of interesting to check such option in order to bring the traffic.

A really good infographic can make anyone understand the information in layman's terms and it shows a great mastery of the subject, which can really draw the attention of any viewer because it shows that the owner really knows his stuff.

Well if you ask me there's two sides in this finding and crushing your competition or you could settle for second best. Either way you'll be having a profitable business.

In settling for second best all you have to do is to copy your number 1 competitor in doing so some of its customers would also buy from you, this would ensure that both of your businesses would survive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
That's an interesting approach! I've never really thought about second best being good enough, I think most people set out to be number one - but that can be really challenging and almost impossible sometimes depending on the field of work you're in. So I found this concept pretty unique!

Great article, to know your competitors success is to know their strategy rather than to compete

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Agree. One of the best way to go ahead, and handle a competitive market, is by knowing your competitors strategy. You see that in many competitive fields, for example you see how baseball, soccer, football teams check out the rival players and their movements, so that way they can create an strategy to neutralize them in the next match. So, if you check the way your competition works, you can for sure come up with an idea to overcome them. Not by copying their work, but by creating new ideas that be more attractive to the customers.

Agreed. It shouldn't be all about competition but since you want higher rankings than your competitors then you have no option to do whatever it takes to get those better rankings.

Information that can be obtained from finding out what your competitors are doing can be very useful.

For example, since you'll be producing content that is similar, then you could also find out where your competitors got their backlinks and you'll head over there too and get backlinks from those same places!

Go a step further, offer your target audience what your competitor doesn't and you'll see traffic to your site increase.

Sometimes it comes to a point where I have to say good job on the post.Truly, this is a post that took time and effort to write and for it to make sense.I think going for the strategy to copy some of the good work of you competition and then using it against them is one of the best methods. If their work is good, make it better and then you'll laugh from the number 1. spot.

This is a very good article, to study and prepare for your opponent is the best way to beat them. We should always have a game plan for fighting. Don't just believe in your talent but you should make an effort to study on how to beat them. Do your homework. Don't just sit and relax. This article is pretty good.

I like Neil Patel he is a great authority on SEO . He has some amazing tips of SEO. His pages always rank number one on google. He is so good that some of his pages are cancelled by google. Who would have thought info graphics? Neil makes everything sound so simple and I like the way he thinks and explains himself. Building back links is not as complicated as it is made out to be. I 'll try his method and see what I can come up with.

I couldn't agree more with everything listed in your article. You should always focus on beating your competition and not just getting "close" to it. Don't try just to mimic everything they do but instead do your research then try to IMPROVE the things that they're doing - nothing is ever perfect.

It might seem hard at the beginning since depending on your niche, you might be going against the "big boys" but don't be afraid to challenge them.

Gee, it’s easier said than done to outrank your competition in Google. But I know there is a way to do that although you need a lot of patience and hard work. If you are extremely focused on your objective to be first in the search engine ranking then just proceed on what you are doing with your SEO work and probably time will come that you will be reaping the fruits of your labor.

I also use info graphic to have a better grasp of what I am going into. I am a content writer and whenever I receive an email for a possible client I look for the company they work for. I search for information about the company so when we do our interview or if they request for sample article, I make my content about the company.

This is really good article, it is a helpful advise but it is easier to say than do it. It needs a lot of effort, and it's not just sales and the weaknesses of the other components. There are times that because they've been there longer than you are, they are more trusted than other.

Hey there!
I liked the article, it's a very good. But long story short, the way I see it, in order to crush your comptetion you just gotta do what they do, but better. In terms of pricing, communicating, features and offers (depending on what you do exactly).

Search and crush your competition: This phrase really sound harsh and rude. But business is business. You can't avoid your competitors. You should research and collect ideas and better information for your business to be one step ahead with your competitors. Offer much better of quality product or services at low price. By that, your attracting more people that can make your competitors lose his costumers and make his business crush down.
