When you're running a business, you might get stuck in the habit of only giving away or doing what you're paid to do, but that's not what separates you from the rest of the competition. What you'll need to do is focus on the products or services you're offering to clients, and add in something the buyer isn't expecting, and it doesn't even have to be a big addition to over deliver the order and make the client happier than they were expecting to be 
Think of it this way, if someone were to buy a lamp from you and one from your competitors to see who's is better even though they're the same exact thing, your lamp will likely be better if you were to add in a personal note to the buyer or even add in a lampshade protector for free. Your competitor is likely sending just the lamp and that means you will be seen as a company that is going above and beyond the call of duty, and generating more sales down the road
In this discussion, I'll be going over 3 important things to remember when it comes to over delivering your products or services to customers, and they are:
Surprise your clients with free add-ons
When a customer purchases from you, they expect to get the item they purchased, and that's all. If you throw something in the order, for free of course, they will open their package to see their item and a little surprise they weren't expecting.
Back in the day I use to skateboard and would order a lot of stuff from CCS.com which is a huge retailer of skating related stuff. I would always order from them because they would throw in stickers related to the brands you purchased, which was a pleasant surprise and made me want to get more stuff off of their website
The little things are what counts, and even if you're just sending a few stickers you can create lifelong clients
Do more than the client actually paid for
When you're running a service, SEO related or not, you will want to do more than what the client actually paid for. When you do this, you're giving away a little treat to your customers that they weren't expecting. Similar to the surprise add-ons like in the point above, this additional work won't take long for you to do and the client will likely come back for more.
A good example of this is my writing service I offer here on SEOclerks and on my own personal website where I sell my services. I will get an order for 500 words and I will send them 750+, even 1,500 at times, in return and the client will be extremely happy. They paid for 500 words and usually get double what they were expecting, making their purchase something that they weren't expecting and they will come back more often to make a purchase
Watch your positive reviews roll in
When you start to go above and beyond the call of business, you'll notice the positive reviews starting to roll in. Not everyone will come and leave a positive review on your product or service page on eBay, Amazon, Yelp, etc. but the ones that do will leave some golden nuggets of content for everyone else to read. These reviews will only help you build up your sales since they will come from previous buyers who were already happy with what they received, which means people who haven't purchased already might be convinced simply based on the reviews they're reading about your product or service
Think about it, if you didn't have any reviews and your competitor had 10, your competitor would get the majority of sales even if you were selling the exact same thing as they were for a little bit less than they had their products or services priced. People will pay more for something they are sure is a good product or service because they don't want to deal with the chance of a purchase with no reviews being a better choice over the one that has multiple great reviews already.
In conclusion
When you over deliver your on your services or products, you're showing your buyers that you want them to always be happy and you're not stingy when it comes to your business. You're profiting but you're not worried about letting something go for free, which the customer will understand and likely come back multiple times for more purchases as well as leave positive reviews wherever and whenever they can. I've seen plenty of companies expand very fast simply by over delivering, and you can be one of them if you just put in the time to do so
