Hiring a freelancer to come in and do the work instead of hiring a full time employee is what a lot of companies are now doing to save massive amounts of money. Think about it, you could hire someone at $10 an hour and have them on the schedule for 40 hours a week and that would come out to roughly $1,600 a month. Now that's not a lot for big corporations, and they'd likely pay more, but this is just an example so stick with me lol. If a corporation was paying an employee $1,600 a month to do basic tasks, they might start thinking of how they can save money, and that means outsourcing could be removing you from your position. It's a sad thing to think of, but if you're the boss and had to make a decision like this to save money, you would start outsourcing the jobs that were easier and took less experience to complete, and that's the $10 an hour starter jobs.
A company can outsource work to the Philippines and pay someone with experience $300 a month, yeah that's right, they would save $1,300 a month because now they're paying around $1.88 an hour and they now have someone they don't have to train. I myself outsource work to the Philippines because they learn English from kindergarten all the way through high school, which means there isn't a language barrier to deal with like if you were to outsource work to India where they only learn English for when they want a job when they're older. I actually have a few business partners in the Philippines that started out as freelancers, but I loved their work so much that we started up our own services and share the profits 
Not having a language barrier with someone and paying them much less than I could a person down the street is always an amazing thing when it comes to an ROI
In this discussion I'll be going over why your business needs to consider hiring freelancers instead of a full time employee, and those reasons are:
Free up your own time to focus on bigger things
Bringing on a freelancer will free up a lot of your own time, which means you can focus on the bigger picture instead of focusing on a single thing that might actually take up most of your day. Think of SEO, the process takes a long time to learn and even longer to actually implement correctly, so if you were to outsource this task to a credible freelancer with experience, you can fre up hours of your own time each day and focus on lead generation or creating quality content for your blog to help out the freelancer that is doing your SEO
If you don't have to focus on every single thing that deals with your business, you will be able to take a step back and see how everything works with each of your systems of people. Your eyes will open up, and you will see vulnerabilities or weak points in your entire process, and now you can make your business structure even better than you thought it was
Freelancers might know more than you do
I like to think I'm smart, but only because I know that there are people out there that know more than I do, which is what you should also be like. I was always taught to strive to be the best at anything I do because there is always someone out there that is better than I am at something. If I wanted to be the best, I had to constantly practice and implement what I learned in real life situations or at jobs. If you think like this, you will easily be able to find a freelancer that is better at something than you are because they focused solely on one thing related to your business and can do the job better than you can.
You can't let your ego get in the way of making a decision to bring on someone that is smarter, and possibly better, at something than you are. There is an immense talent pool out there, and if you don't want to tap into it, you're just holding back your own company from being great.
You can get them for cheaper than hiring a full time employee
A freelancer is usually much cheaper than bringing on a full time employee because they're doing situational work and not doing something for you each and every day. If you have an employee, you can't really have them do a certain task and then fire them when they're done, that's how you kill a company through bad reviews lol. Instead, you'll be hiring freelancers that will come in and do a certain task, or a few of them, and get paid for the work then leave and possibly come back in a month or even next year. Think of them as people who are there to save the day when you can't do it yourself, they're your batman
Bringing on a freelancer will save you a lot of money compared to a full time employee because they are not only cheaper per hour, but you don't have to pay them during down times like you would an employee. Your freelancers get the job done and move on to their next project while an employee waits for work to come up and gets paid during the between times, which can hurt your bank account.
You have access to a larger talent pool
I touched on this briefly above, but there are a massive amount of credible freelancers out there that can do the job you're needing done, and they could be much smarter than you at the same time lol. If you're not tapping into this massive pool of talent, you're just being dumb and untrusting of people you can't see face to face.
It amazes me at how many large corporations still have thousands of full time employees on payroll when they could easily go 100% remotely operated and save hundreds of thousands of dollars, or even millions, each year just on payroll Obviously, if you're a "Made in America" type of company, you'll want to avoid bringing in hundreds or thousands of freelancers to do the work for you because you want everything "In House" which would be within the borders of the US
In conclusion
Freelancers are there to do the jobs you don't want to do, or the ones you can't do on your own, because they know how to do it and are willing to take less money than you normally would pay an employee to do the job. Freelancers power the internet services, even if you think you're working with a solid company that has everything in house, they're likely outsourcing to freelancers so they can have a better ROI as well lol Tap into the vast pool of experience, knowldege, and talent by bringing on some freelancers to save you time and money

Definitely, and you can hire someone at their normal full time salary if you target countries like the Philippines :D
I can literally pay someone with a degree in marketing $500 a month to do work for me. That would normally cost me $50,000 a year here in the USA :D :D :D
So the money I save by outsourcing my work actually puts me in the position to hire someone better than I could here on US soil lol :D

Also, it's easier to hire freelancers and then "let them loose" after the project is done. If you hire somebody for full-time it might be tricky firing them if they don't fit the criteria later on. I think the biggest advantage of hiring a freelancer over a full-time employee is definitely the fact that it will cost you less. Freelancers tend to accept jobs at a much lower wage compared to somebody that's looking for a full-time job. Also, it's easier to hire freelancers and then "let them loose" after the project is done. If you hire somebody for full-time it might be tricky firing them if they don't fit the criteria later on.
