Setting up a website in order to make money isn't for everyone, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Everyone wants to find the best deal online, and you very well might have that on your website, but if you're not branded you won't get as many sales as you should. People trust websites they've heard of in the past, which are the branded ones, so you will need to start branding your company as soon as you can. Branding isn't an overnight type of thing, so don't expect instant results. You won't be the best of the best in your industry right away, even if you think you are because no one will be talking about you right away. You need to make some waves, in a positive way before you start having people purchase from you on their first visit. You need to work out the glitches before going big
This is a biggie! If you're not working on your website all the time in order to make it as good as it can be, you won't be turning a big profit. A good way to have this streamlined is to have a good programmer on hand, not on payroll, who can do work as you need it. You can set up a "Bug Report" page or link in order to have your visitors report anything they see that could be a bit off. This will help you catch things that you may not have caught on your own.
