    Best way to get started with Amazon KDP?

    Hi guys! I've been toying with the idea of joining the Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) and publishing some ebooks that I've either written or am currently writing, but I would like to get some information form those more familiar with the system. Basically I'd like to know how straightforward it all is, and if there are any upfront fees that I should be aware of? Also, are there some specific requirements for the file formats that I would need to send my books in?

    I'm not sure about the specifics unfortunately so I'm not going to say anything about those. I don't think they do have fees but again, I'm not 100% sure so the best thing to do is to research before you start doing it. However, I do know that they pay for every page that someone reads from your eBook. It's not a massive amount but if you are able to write an extremely popular book then you can make a decent amount from it.

    What worked for me is just going to write the content. And that should be also more than enough to get you started. In case of Amazon, you have to write a lot and find out what may or may not work. That's the way many people are getting into the writing. I guess in case if you choose to write short stories then you may have to mind the word count issue too. I personally think that if you want to get into Amazon publishing the best option is to start with the simple one book. And then build a portfolio on top of that. It should be more than enough to get things working. That's how it has worked for me personally.

    There are no fees involved, you signup with them, get your Ebook written, get the cover page really done and you can upload it.I just published a little book on fulfilling one's destiny to test the waters.I hope it does well enough to motivate me to write more.

    when trying to publish a book with Amazon kindle I think it pertinent you look up other works in that Niche that really be sure, your title doesn't conflict with someone's own.

    I think it is not that difficult to use KDP but I think that you need to do some research and find out beforehand. I think it is helpful to know all about it before you decide to do it. It is just one of the best things that you can find to do when you are looking forward to publishing your own ebook. I think you should follow the recommendations of all the people here, as there are some good one.

    I have often thought of using KDP. I don;t have anything ready to publish, but when I do, I expect to use this site, because it seems to be the most user friendly. I think it is just the way to go if you are going to have a self publishing option. Make sure that you understand what to expect with the program however.

    I haven’t heard of this publishing e-book by Amazon. Maybe it is a good read for me because I also have plans of coming out with an e-book in the years to come. E-books will be the standard that will dominate the publishing industry because the paper books are vanishing now. So if you want to be abreast with the modern times then you have to know how an e-book is made and published. Also, it is a good way of earning money from e-book publications.
