Meta tags are better known for informations which are first shared by search engine robots. So meta tags mostly cover site's description, keywords, authors and modified date.

I would say title is the most important and then the description come second. Try to use your main keyword in the description twice.

The best meta tags are the meta tags that best describe your blog or website. If your blog is in mental health, you can use meta tags such as mental help, depression, anxiety, stress etc.
If your blog niche is travel you can use tags such as travel, vacation, journey, sightseeing etc.
If your blog is niche blog, you can use tags that best describe your niche.
