You can track you car using Google map

If you park car and forget where parked, then this will help without buying any hardware.
First you have to tap on "Save your parking". Then it will show a label where you have parked you car or bike or any other vehicle.
You can send the location of your car to your friend or relative, if you want to meet them near the car to drop them. They will get to you without having any trouble.

Oh you mean you can do that with just the Google Map app. Yeah that's cool that you can do that.

Can it also track where your friends are and show their location too?

That would be more handy than remembering where I parked my car.

Why oh why that multi story car parks, or even just large car parks don't they put a map with the bay number you're parked in. Then that way, if the ticket you're printed contains your parking bay number or you just remember it, you can look on the map where you are, where the bay number where your car is parked and you could see how to find it.

Not all car parks do that. And actually, I get how this could work for open car parks. But what about multi-story car parks? Like can it tell you what story you're parked on? Let alone work through all that concrete!

Yes, you are able to. There is a number of fleet management service that incorporates Google Maps in their services. Some of Its features is the ability to provide the longitude and latitude coordinates of the vehicle to cell phones via SMS or to computers by utilizing GPRS. It is also able to produce graph and statistics which will provide data on the path of the vehicle, therefore, Google Maps may be utilized a very effective vehicle tracking device.

I never realised that Google Maps have this function. That's some very neat stuff! They are getting more and more advance which is very nice to see.

I'm a bit skeptical about the location sharing and privacy / security issues though but I guess nobody forces you to use it. It's your choice if you do.

that's a great feature. last week I completely forgot where I parked my car and I was looking for it for a long time in a wrong street.and with knowing this feature I will not forgot where I was parked again thanks to the technology this days our lifes become so easy...

Gee, this one takes the cake for the day. Very interesting to know that you can pinpoint the direction of your car. I remember my father-in-law when he forgot where he parked his car because the design of adjoining car parks in one big mall was very confusing. He didn’t take note of the signage so he had to walk the length of the car parks in looking for his car. If he he had used Google map with that function, it would have been a piece of cake. Thanks for the info.

Very helpful . Life can be hard sometimes and even if you are in your teens sometimes you can be confused and forget where you parked your car. I personally have had to think really hard where I left my car especially when you go to a big mall, where every corner really looks the same. This would really come in handy. I think that this would come in handy especially if you live in a Country where cars are stolen. This could help you track your car.
