When the traffic comes from the bots. It is just a number. It does not help in generating leads or driving sales. Bot traffic does not help in the SEO.
I am always surprised when I see people buying traffic. May be they are doing this because they don't know bot traffic is meaningless.

I am also wondering why some people would buy bot traffic knowing that it is not legal and not even ethical because using bot traffic is clearly cheating. Maybe they are desperate that’s why they gamble their website just to get the needed traffic. But the downside of the bot traffic is the possible penalty if it is found out by the search engine. When that happens you will not know why your website’s link is not included in the search list anymore.
